The Frontline Arts Community Day event in Branchburg, NJ, is a family-friendly day of hands-on paper crafts, printmaking, and papermaking activities!

ONGOING ART ACTIVITIES:
Handmade papermaking & pulp printing with the Frontline Paper crew, Ron Erickson & Walt Nygard
Kinusaiga Textile Art Project with The Center for Contemporary Art in the gallery
Silk screen printing “KEEP CALM PRINT ON” on tote bags with Kristian Battell in the main studio
Block stamping on paper and paper wall mural in the gallery
SCHEDULED ART ACTIVITIES:
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Origami with Ingrid Marie Harbour + Son in the gallery
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Handmade Card-making with Linda Klein in the gallery
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Relief carving demonstration with Alaina Boutillier in the main studio
Learn how to fold an origami paper crane and add it to our 1,000 Paper Cranes for Peace installation and “Make Your Mark” on our interactive art exhibit in our gallery space with hand-carved block prints and kid-friendly stamps. Tour our building and meet our staff of artists and creative minds.
Join us for the opening of our memorial tribute to the incredible artist and teacher Leonard “Len” Merlo on Community Day, featuring a gallery wall in his honor. Len was a longtime member of the Printmaking Center of New Jersey and a volunteer at Frontline Arts, where he contributed immeasurably to our arts community by inspiring people of all ages to make art and enjoy the process. This indoor/outdoor event is nestled in a Somerset County Park next to the Raritan River and the North Branch Train Station (additional free parking) at 440 River Road, Branchburg, New Jersey 08876. Outdoor signage includes Reeves Cultural Center and the Printmaking Council of New Jersey, as well as Frontline Arts. No rain date (will move all activities indoors for inclement weather).
