Land Acknowledgement

We at Frontline Arts respectfully acknowledge that our facilities are on Lenapehoking, the ancestral homelands of the Raritan tribe of the Unami Lenape of the Lənape Haki-nk, and also recognize the Hackensack Territory, the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape, the Powhatan Renape Nation, Ramapough Lenape Indian Nation and all of those who had made their home in this area, as the original peoples of New Jersey, along the Raritan River and its North Branch. We offer our gratitude for the First Nations for their care of and teachings about our earth and our relations.

May we honor those teachings as we strive for respectful relationships with all the peoples of this area, as we search for collective healing and true reconciliation, and honor this beautiful land together, developing and implementing respectful environmentally conscious practices in relationship with this land.

As a community, we recognize the ever-present systemic inequities that stem from past wrongdoings, dishonoring, and broken treaties. We commit ourselves indefinitely to giving back, respecting and reconciling this long history of injustice.
