Join Warrior Writers NJ for an evening of poetry and prose by military veterans and their family members.

Thursday March 3rd, 2022 from 6-7pm EST

Free admission to the Montclair Art Museum.

This event is in conjunction with a Frontline Arts exhibit at the museum titled “By Our Own Hand,” that refers to the toll of veteran deaths by their own hand as well as to the resiliency and creativity by veterans transforming military uniforms into handmade paper. The exhibition, curated by David Keefe and Donna Bassin, is accompanied by a video from Bassin’s award-winning documentary The Mourning After.

The stage performance will kick off with a reading by poets Jan Barry, Tara Krause, Walt Nygard and fellow participants from the Warrior Writers NJ Workshop. Then any service member, military vet or family member is welcome to share stories, memories, dreams and visions around military experience through poetry and prose.
