Co-founder and Lead Instructor

Dave directs the planning, finances, and partnerships of Frontline Arts.  In 2011, he co-developed and built Combat Paper NJ into a nationally recognized and award-winning programnow the flagship project of Frontline Arts. From 2001-2009, he served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, and from 2006-2007 he completed a tour of combat duty in Iraq as a riverine infantry scout. He is an artist, educator, administrator, and activist.

Dave is also the Senior Assistant Dean of Students for Veteran Initiatives at Columbia University. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Delaware.

MANDA GORSEGNER

Frontline Arts

Co-founder; Operations and Development Director

Manda directs operations, human resources, and development for Frontline Arts. She is an arts and environmental activist.

She holds a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Drexel University, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology & Evolution from Rutgers University.

RACHEL HEBERLING

Frontline Arts

Studio Director

Rachel runs the daily operations of the studio and develops new outreach initiatives, adult education and contract printing. She is focused on research to further our mission of becoming completely non-toxic. She was the Studio Program Manager of The Printmaking Center of NJ for 3 years and has a decade of experience working in print studios around the country.

 

 

Rachel is an avid printmaker who holds a Master of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kutztown University.

ELI WRIGHT

Combat Paper NJ

Co-founder, Project Manager, Lead Instructor

Eli is an artist and activist. He has been a Combat Paper instructor for over nine years and has led Combat Paper NJ workshops for veterans and service members all over the country.  He is currently the Combat Paper NJ manager where he coordinates all program logistics for CPNJ workshops. Eli served as an Army Combat Medic in Iraq.

KEVIN BASL

Praxis in Color

Blog Founder, Editor

Kevin manages the blog and publications for Praxis in Color and Frontline Arts.  He works with guest writers, guides the writing components of social arts workshops, and is a Lead Instructor for Combat Paper NJ.

Kevin is a writer, activist and musician. He is a workshop facilitator and steering committee member for Warrior Writers, a collaborating veteran-focused arts organization alongside Combat Paper NJ.  He served in the army from 2003 to 2008, twice deploying to Iraq.  Kevin holds a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Temple University.

SAYDI CALLAHAN KEEFE

Herstory Studio Project

Founder and Project Manager

Saydi is an artist, investigating portraiture and persona through both abstraction and realism, and an educator. She is the founder and project manager for Herstory Studio Project, which gives women and young girls a 'studio of one's own' to change his-tory. Saydi also manages the social media platforms and social arts projects media for Frontline Arts. 

She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Florida.
